Little League Challenger Division

Belmont Little League is a youth baseball/softball program located on the east side of Joliet. We have been proudly serving Little League baseball since 1951 in Joliet. We offer youth baseball leagues for boy/girls form ages 4-16. The focus of Belmont baseball program is to instill a positive attitude, sportsmanship and confidence in our players through active participation in team sports. Our program emphasizes on what the core of little league foundations is and that's building character courage loyalty.

Challenger Program

The Challenger program is a separate division of Little League Baseball to enable boys and girls with physical and mental challenges 4-22(or until completion of high school) to enjoy the game of baseball)

We also offer a Senior Challenger Program for anyone who is 18 and up.

Teams are set up with anywhere from 8 to 12 players depending on the sign-ups for any given season. Each player gets a chance to bat, either by tee-ball or pitch. The side is retired when the offense has batted through the roster. The Challenger players wear the same uniforms, shoulder patches and safety equipment as the other Little League players.

Flexibility and adaptability are key during Challenger games. Games are typically 1-2 innings long and last about 45 minutes to an hour. All players bat and play the field. Each player will be assigned a Buddy that will work with each little leaguer throughout games.
